1. Before I book my ticket?
- I am traveling with an infant. Is there anything special I need to know?
Make sure they have valid proof-of-age documents when they're checking in, and remember that infants must be accompanied by an adult at least 18 years old. You can book no more than one infant per adult . To avail of infant fares, the infant must be under 24 months of age throughout the entire itinerary that you're booking. This includes both outbound and return journeys. If the infant is 24 months or above on the return journey, you need to make a separate booking using a child fare.
- I have booked my tickets online. How can I get copy of my E-Ticket?
To view and take a printout of your E-Ticket, simply follow the steps below:
- Log onto www.goibibo.ibibo.com
- Click on the Eticktet/Voucher link
- Submit your Goibibo Booking ID/Airline PNR
- Click on Print option.
- What is the maximum number of tickets I can book?
A maximum of 9 seats can be booked at one time. If you need to book for more than 9 travelers you will have to re-complete the booking process for the additional travelers.
- What documents do I need to carry to check-in for my flight? Do I have to carry the credit card that was used for making the payment?
It is mandatory to carry a government issued photo identification (ID) proof along with the E-Ticket copy. The same is verified by the airport security as well as the airline at the check in counter. On presenting your photo ID proof and E-Ticket copy, your boarding pass will be issued. For international flights, your passport is the only valid photo ID proof that will be accepted.
In case of an infant traveling, it is mandatory to carry the birth certificate of the infant along with the ticket.
It is not mandatory to carry the credit/debit card that was used to make the payment at the time of the booking.
- How can I avail the discount mentioned next to the searched flight?
The highlighted discount next to every searched flight is already included in the fare. For Example, if your ticket price is INR 4000 and the highlighted tag suggests a discount as INR 50. In these cases, the indicated amount has already been discounted while arriving at your ticket price.
- What's an e-ticket?
An E-Ticket is a form of paperless ticket where an airline issues a unique number that you can use for travel. You can find this unique number on the bottom of your E-ticket page issued by GoIbibo.
- Can I book a multi-city trip?
No, not at the moment. We will update you as soon as we launch this feature.
- How can I join your referral program and what are the benefits of it?
2. While I book my ticket?
- Why do I see 'No Results' on results page?
Clear your browser cache and try the search again.
If you still don't get any flight results, it may either be because we can't find flights for that route or because there's no availability of flights for your dates. We request to enter any other suitable date of Travel and book your tickets.
- Where do I enter my 'frequent flier' number while booking the ticket?
We do not have an option of entering the frequent flier number at the time of booking domestic flights. However, we can certainly pass on your frequent flier number to the airline. Just call us as soon as you book your ticket and tell us your trip id and your frequent flier number.
- I entered my payment details and submitted ths information. My card is charged but I see a blank screen. What now?
We're really sorry for the inconvenience. Please don't worry. We'll call you within four hours and complete this booking offline. We suggest you do not try booking again as you may end up getting charged twice.

3. After I have booked the tickets
- How much baggage can I carry on the flight?
The following are the current baggage rules for Domestic travel:

- How do I know if my tickets are reserved?
As soon as your ticket is reserved, you get an email and an SMS with your flight details .
- In 'My Account' I see that status of my e-ticket as 'Manual'. What does it mean?
In a few rare cases the booking status may be reflected as 'Manual'. This implies that the ticket booking is still under process. In this scenario refresh your browser after 15 minutes, and if the status doesn't change call us to verify the booking. We shall execute your booking on phone.
- I have booked , but I need to add my child now. How do I do it?
Give us a call and let us know your existing booking details. We'll take care of the rest of the booking.
- I entered wrong spelling for my name while booking. How can I change it?
You can call us to check if the airline you've booked with entertains change-of-name requests. Most of them do, and we can pass on your request. However, if the airline doesn't allow it, you'll have to cancel and re-book the ticket.
- Is it possible to book tickets for anyone else through my account?
Yes, just enter the details of the passengers you want to book for when you're asked to enter traveller-details at the time of booking.
- I have entered wrong name. How can I change it?
The airline doesn't allow Name change on the ticket, you'll have to cancel and re-book the ticket. Airline cancellation charges and Goibibo cancellation fee applicable.
- Is it possible to book tickets for anyone else through my account?
Yes, just enter the details of the passengers you want to book for when you're asked to enter traveler-details at the time of booking.
- How can I cancel my flight tickets?
Cancellation of tickets can be done either by logging on the Goibibo account (online) or by calling on the customer care number toll free number (offline).
To cancel the tickets online, Users shall have to complete the following procedure :
- Log onto www.goibibo.ibibo.com
- Click on the Signin link at the top
- Click on Request Cancellation against the tickets you have booked.
- The User can both select and cancel his/her entire booking or part of the booking.
- A confirmation of cancellation will be sent via sms and email to the User.
User will not be able to use the online flight cancellation facility if:
a. there is an infant accompanying an adult?
For all such cancellations the user will have to use the offline cancellation facility.
To cancel the tickets offline, call the customer care numbers 09213025552 / 1-860-2-585858 between 8 AM to 10 PM , 7 days a week.
B. Cancellation of tickets within 24 hours of the flights
The User will have to contact the nearest airline office (of the concerned airline) to get his/her reservation cancelled. Goibibo is in no way responsible to ensure that the ticket shall be cancelled and the sole liability to confirm the same with the airline shall lie with the User.
- How do I get a refund for tickets that I have directly cancelled with airlines?
Any later would require you to send us a scanned copy of your E-Ticket endorsed by the airlines. Goibibo shall charge Rs. 250 per sector per passenger as a cancellation service fee over and above the individual airline cancellation fee.
Cancellation charges
For all refundable class tickets, the airline cancellation fee is charged per sector per passenger. All charges for individual airlines are given below on per sector per passenger basis. Please note that cancellation charges are subject to change by the Airline at its sole discretion and without notice to Goibibo. The cancellation charges may be verified at the time of cancellation with the airline by the User. Goibibo shall in no way be held responsible or liable in case of any change in the below table.

In addition to the above cancellation charges, Goibibo will charge a standard cancellation charge of Rs. 250 per person per segment ( We will add only sector[Sector?] in case of online cancellation and INR 250 per person per segment(Sector) in case of offline cancellation. The aforesaid amount of Rs. 250 per person may be changed by Goibibo at its sole discretion and without notice to the User. The User shall be responsible to check regularly on the website www.goibibo.ibibo.com to see if there has been any change in the same.
For all non refundable class tickets, the airline cancellation fee is the same amount as the base fare.
This is not applicable on any promotional fares offered by airlines as cancellations charges for those will depend on the promotional offer.
Each airline has promotional fares also where this cancellation policy does not apply.
- By when can I expect my refund against the cancellation of my booking?
All refunds are processed by the method of payment used in the initial transaction..
Once you have cancelled your booking, the refund is processed by Goibibo within 10 business days (weekends not included). An e-mail confirmation of the refund amount will be sent to the email address given to us at the time of booking. However, for the amount to reflect in your bank or credit card account is dependent on the time taken by your bank thereon. For any discrepancies and delays, kindly check directly with your bank or credit card company.
Where the User has cancelled his/her booking directly with the airlines, he/she will need to inform Goibibo with valid documentation to initiate the refund process. It is advisable to contact Goibibo within 48 hours of the cancellation request. Any later would require the User to send a scanned copy of your E-Ticket endorsed by the airlines to Goibibo.
- What is an amendment?
You can change the date or time (or both) of your travel; you cannot, however, change the sector(s) on which you're already booked. For example, if you're booked on a flight from Mumbai to New Delhi, you can't change your destination to Goa. What is the cost of an amendment?
Amendments:
All amendments come at a fee that varies from airline to airline. In addition to this fee, Goibibo charges an amendment handling fee of Rs 250 per passenger per sector in case of offline amendment and a charge of INR 250 and in case of online Amendment. Goibibo will collect these charges from the User when it makes the change in the travel plans. Goibibo will also collect the difference in fare, if any, applicable when the amendment is made.
This means every airline has a different amendment policy and over and above Goibbio charges INR 250 per person per segment in case of offline cancellation charges . ( It means Customer call up the call centre to reschedule.
And INR 250 will be charged by goibbio over and above the airline charges in case of online ( It means customer goes to our website and passes the request
We would also like to add this line: Amendment and cancellation can be done only 24 hours prior to the flight with us.
- How do I get ticket after amendments?
We'll email your amended tickets within 60 minutes of making the change to the email address you used for the original booking.
- Can I cancel my ticket after amendment?
Yes, you can. However, you'll have to call our customer service department to cancel amended tickets.
Attn: ABP does not accept any cancellations within 24 hours of flight time.
All cancellations done within 24 hours of flight time, will have to be coordinated by the traveler directly with the respective Airline
Bus FAQ's
- How do I cancel my booked ticket?
Go to Cancel / Reschedule tab, Type in the Payment ID, you will get relevant ticket details. Select the ticket and click cancel button.
- Can I do a partial cancellation of the ticket?
Go to cancel / Reschedule tab, Type in the Payment ID, you will get relevant ticket details. Select the ticket and the passenger you wish to cancel and click cancel button.
- How do I print my booked ticket.
Go to My travel bookings section there you will see a tab my bus bookings, select and type in the correct ticket number and press Submit. Your ticket will be displayed and on right there will be a print symbol which you can use to print ticket.
- Can I modify my bus ticket booking?
To make changes to your bus ticket booking which involves change of passengers, partial cancellations, change in journey date, change in bus type, and change in timings, you will need to cancel your original ticket and make a new bus ticket booking.
Changes which involve change in boarding point may be done in certain cases. Same is at the discretion of the bus operator and is not guaranteed. For all such changes, please call the bus operator directly at the phone number given on your e-ticket.
Genreal
- Do you charge any transaction charges or convenience fees over and above the bus fare?
No, we do not charge any transaction charges or convenience fees. You only pay for your bus fare.
- I am travelling with a child. Do I need to purchase a bus ticket for him or her?
There will be no charges for children below 2 years of age. They will not be given a seat and will have to travel on an adult's lap/seat. For children over 2 years of age, a full ticket will need to be bought.
Cancellations
- Is there a cancellation fee?
Yes. A cancellation fee will be levied on every bus ticket cancelled. The cancellation fee varies based on bus operator as well as the time before departure that a ticket is cancelled. The cancellation policy applicable on your booking is printed on your e-ticket. Please refer to your e-ticket for the same.
There are certain exceptions to this policy. Some bus operators do not allow cancellations and hence no refund is possible in such cases. Some bus operators charge higher cancellation penalties while some allow cancellation up to 4 hours before departure. The exact cancellation charges and restrictions as applicable to your booking will be printed on your e-ticket. Please refer to the same.
Refund
- I had booked an Air Conditioned bus but the bus operator made me travel in a Non Air Conditioned bus. Can I get a refund?
In such cases where the class or type of bus ticket booked differs from what you actually travelled on, refund will be based on the difference in fare between the higher and lower bus type. Kindly note, the refund will be granted by the bus operator and goibibo.ibibo.com will not be responsible in any way.
- What are the other cases when I am eligible for a refund?
You are eligible for a refund in cases where the bus tour operator cancels the bus. Kindly note, the refund will be granted by the bus operator and goibibo.ibibo.com will not be responsible in any way.
- I was charged for the bus booking, but the booking failed. How will I get my money back?
In such a case, you need not do anything. We would automatically process your refund immediately. The refunded amount will reflect in your account/card statement within 7 working days.
- I had booked an Air Conditioned bus but the bus operator made me travel in a Non Air Conditioned bus. Can I get a refund?
